Ridiculous

Ridiculous - D.L. Carter For a freebie, this book was very good. I was surprised to be drawn in by the silly story of a woman who decides to pretend to be her male cousin upon his death so that her female family members could be saved from the poorhouse. As I was reading and getting close to sexy time with the object of Millicent's affection, I couldn't stop thinking about those episodes of Maury Povich where an unfortunate guy is brought on stage to be told by his "girlfriend" that she is actually a man. The ridiculousness of this book kind of mirrors the reaction I have to those shows, it is stange and kind of unbelieveable that the guy had no clue and yet still interesting to watch the train wreck unfold before your eyes! Very entertaining! 3 stars.
